The art of Manifesting

Manifestation is a very fanciful name for the simple act of getting what you want in your life. People always are skeptical when I tell them that manifestation is easy, as they seem to never get what they want.

Just as a toddler takes time to learn how to walk by stumbling or falling a lot initially, we need to learn the art of manifestation by practicing it until it becomes a habit or rather second nature to you.

So, what is this act of Manifestation ? or is it really an Art?

Rhonda Byrne in her book, The Secret, has explained this phenomenon of Manifestation as simple as ordering food in a restaurant from a catalogue. Just as you don’t doubt that the food will be served post ordering, you should not doubt even a bit that your wish or desire will not be granted once you make that wish. 99.9% times, we tend to have this doubt and hence the wish remains hidden and your doubt prevails. We need to break this habit of doubt.

How do we do this? We believe that it will happen.. whatever you wished for. Yes, it sound ridiculous if you have wished for 1 million dollars. But if you believe, the universe will align to give you that 1 million, no questions asked. But again, you got to believe! that is the key.

So, before you wish for that 1 million, practice by wishing for small things, even if it was day to day mundane asks. Let me quote few examples from my recent experiences to make it seem more realistic. How I manifested these in my life.

1: During a recent wedding due to work pressures, hadn’t had time to visit the beauty parlor prior to the event. I had although visualized myself in a beauty parlor as a must have before the wedding. The sequence of events that unfolded thereafter was that I got a chance to accompany a relative to the parlor the previous evening without me planning it! I not only had my regular grooming done but got a lovely haircut for 1/2 the price!!

2: I had taken my dad to see a dance drama and had paid premium to sit close to the stage. However due to traffic, we got into the theater late, and all the front rows were taken. As we settled into a back row, the chair in front of my dad from the previous row was removed by admin due to bad flooring. My dad had the most perfect view you can imagine! What are the chances of removing a chair in a completely booked theater??

3. It was my daughter’s very first dance recital. Although our dream was for her to dance on bigger hall, we booked a small hall (200 seats) as it was pandemic times and also it fit into our budget. One week before the recital, the flooring of the stage in the hall we had booked,  caved in. The theater offered us larger hall (500 seats) for the event for free. We not only got to see our daughter perform in a larger hall, stage but saw more people attend the recital given that that they could maintain social distancing better during the pandemic. Again, what are the odds of the flooring of stage to cave ?

Think about all the times you have lost something and searched for it an entire day, but couldn’t find it. However, as you soon as you quit searching for it, the lost item is found. This occurs because, while you search is on, you unconsciously believe that it is lost. However, as soon as you stop the search, you no longer think about it being lost.   Lo and behold, it is found!

To find something that is lost, the first thing you should do is to believe that it was NEVER lost. You just need to ask for it and wait for it to appear. It is ridiculous to think it will be found without us searching for it, but this is how manifestation works. It is very simple but we just make it look so hard or complicated.

Live in the present! Anything that you want, just ask for it and believe that you already possess it, not that you will receive it in the near future. If you believe you will get it in the future, you will keep waiting for it!
